Rockboro Pre School

Rockboro is one of the very few primary schools which provide a Pre-School. It offers an excellent opportunity to initiate your children’s scholastic careers in a caring and encouraging environment. We aim to develop the children’s skills through play and interaction with others in a structured environment.

The children can access a range of activities which may not be available at home, suchas water, sand, play dough, painting and construction. They also utilise the facilities in the main primary school such as a large hall and stage where they perform for their parents each Spring. They are prepared for this by the Drama and Music teachers in conjunction with Pre-School teachers.

The pupil teacher ratio in the Pre-School is 1:6, which is significantly lower than the Health Service Executive ratio of 1:10. The school employs 3 teachers and a maximum of 20 children attend each day.
