School Guidelines

• School Hours: School opens at 8.30am. The school day starts
  at 8.50am each morning.
• Pre-School children are in class from 8.50am to 12.30pm.
• Junior Infants' hours are: Monday to Thursday 8.50am to 1.30pm.
• Senior Infants' hours are: Monday and Wednesday 8.50am to 1.30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8.50am to 2.45pm.
• J1 to J6 hours are: 8.50am to 2.45pm Monday to Thursday.
• On Fridays all pupils (except Pre-School) are collected by bus at 11.45am and transported to Leisureworld Swimming Pool located in Bishopstown. Pupils must be collected from the swimming pool by 1.10pm.

Admissions

In order to apply to Rockboro School, an application form should be completed. Students transferring from another school should provide written transcripts along with their application. When possible, an interview will be conducted with the student prior to acceptance.

Rockboro School Uniform

Pre-School

There is no uniform worn in the pre-school, the school tracksuit is optional.

Junior Infants to J6 Girls

Dark grey knee length pinafore/skirt.
White shirt, red tie. Grey V neck jumper with Rockboro crest.
Tights - red only or red socks.
Conventional, low heeled, black school shoes - dark soles, NO PLATFORMS - NO RUNNERS.

Junior Infants to J6 Boys

Dark grey trousers.
White shirt, red tie. Grey V neck jumper with Rockboro crest. Grey socks.
Conventional black school shoes - dark soles - NO RUNNERS.

School Jacket

Red school jacket (fleece lined reversible) with Rockboro crest.

Tracksuit

Junior Infants to J6 wear tracksuits. The tracksuit is worn with a white airtex sports shirt, no t-shirts, white or otherwise, white socks and runners. The tracksuit is to be worn into school on Fridays only for swimming or when instructed by the teachers for class trips, etc.
